Junior Youth at Living Waters Church:

The Junior Youth at our church is for students in grades 6-8.  We meet every week on Sunday mornings during the sermon time in a room upstairs in the church.  This “Teen Talk” is intended to build relationships and engage the students in discussion about spiritual issues on a level more appropriate with their age.  We play games, give away candy, and talk about the Bible.  Quite often our talks encourage the Junior Youth to think about life in new ways.  Getting them to consider questions about God is essential to helping them grow in their spiritual life.  But loving them and having fun together builds a foundation of trust.  It’s upon this foundation of love and trust that we engage them with questions that have eternal implications.

In addition to Sunday mornings, we also meet about once-a-month for a fun activity.  We’ve had games nights, done the Amazing Race (Salmon Arm edition), and had a sleep-over.  These fun activities give us the chance to grow stronger as a group, and build relationships that can be a benefit well beyond our official meeting times.
