About us

As Christians, we believe we’re made for a relationship with God, through which we find life in all its fullness. Whether you’re just asking questions about faith or have been a Christian for many years, we want to come alongside you and help you take the next step in your faith journey.

Our church is casual - come as you are. Our services are worship that connects us with God, a message that connects us with His Word and a community that connects us with one another.

We look forward to meeting you!

OUR VALUES

LOVE: Embracing all who walk through our doors.

GROWTH: None of us have had a perfect journey, we all need healing and fixing in some way. We want to bring people into a relationship with Jesus that makes them more like Him, believing that brings the change we all need.

GOD’S WORD: We believe God’s greatest tool of growth in our lives is His Word, the Bible. As it tells us, when we look into it we see Jesus’ glory and are changed into the same image (2 Cor 3:18).

PARTICIPATION: As people spend more time with us our hope is they will move from the mentality of a consumer/spectator to that of a contributor/participant. It’s one reason as part of our services we give opportunity for the congregation to contribute, believing it’s as we give, we receive and grow.

WITNESS: We want to share the great things we have through Jesus with others, so we seek to do that together as a church and individually make it part of our everyday lives.

Our History & Connections

Our church was planted in 1990 by Pastor Norvil Bremnes, out of a church in Kamloops. He and his wife led the church until 2014 when they went overseas to do missions work.

Our then Associate Pastor David St John and his wife Donna assumed leadership of the church.

We are part of a Canada wide network of Pentecostal churches that provides us with encouragement, support and accountability.

What we Believe

  • In the verbal inspiration of the Holy Scriptures.

  • In the existence of One True God who has revealed Himself to the world as the Father, as the Son, and as the Holy Spirit.

  • In the Saviour of men, the Lord Jesus Christ, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, very God and very Man.

  • In the creation, test, and fall of man, as recorded in Genesis; his total spiritual depravity and inability to attain to divine righteousness.

  • In the Gospel of the grace of God, how that Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day for our justification.

  • In the salvation of sinners by grace alone, through faith in the perfect and sufficient work of Christ on our behalf upon the Cross of Calvary.

  • In water baptism of believers by immersion.

  • In the baptism with the Holy Spirit as an experience subsequent to salvation, with the scriptural evidence.

  • In the gifts of the Spirit as enumerated in 1 Corinthians being exercised and practiced as manifest in the early church.

  • In the Lord’s Memorial, commonly called the Lord’s Supper, for believers.

  • In the healing of the body by Divine Power, or Divine Healing, in its many aspects as practiced by the early Church.

  • In the eternal life of the believer and the eternal punishment of the unbeliever.

But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

2 Corinthians 3:18

Meet Our Leaders

David is from the UK where he met his wife Donna, who is Canadian. They were married in 1985 and moved to Canada in 1990, joining Living Waters church about 6 months after it started.

They became involved in the leadership and in 2011 David was invited into an associate pastor role. In 2014 David & Donna became the Pastors.

Donna has a great heart for people, embracing them where they’re at and supporting them going forward. David loves hearing God speak through His Word and sharing its riches with others.

Together their heart is to see the church be a healthy family, caring well for those within it and reaching out to those beyond.

David & Donna love hanging out with their 4 grown children, spouses and grandchildren, travelling, walking, playing Upwords and sneaking off camping in Henry their Boler!
