WEEKLY BULLETIN

Sunday Oct 26th

TOMORROW (Sat. Oct 25th) - live-stream of Sherron Caverly's celebration of life service will be held at our church. Any who would like to please join us, a touch before 1 p.m.

THIS SUNDAY:

  • Fellowship Potluck Sunday! Please bring a dish to share (large enough to feed six) and stay to enjoy a meal together after the service. If your last name ends in A -K, please bring a dessert or fruit dish/platter. If your last name ends with L-Z, please bring a main dish or veggie platter.

Some ideas for main dishes: baked pasta like spaghetti or lasagna; chili, soup or stew; sandwiches, hearty salads or casseroles.

  • Safe Church policy training: after the potluck: if you are an Elder, board member, usher, nursery volunteer or kids church volunteer, your presence is requested for our yearly training on the Safe Church policies. We'll meet on the side of the church by the kids' rooms. Please read the policy manual and bring any questions/items that need clarification. Thank you!

Worship Meeting, sound & tech: On Wednesday October 29th at 6:15 p.m. at the church. Dinner will be provided. We’re excited about how the Lord wants to develop & grow this area of our ministry. Please do your best to be there for this important meeting.

Trudy Wiens is moving to Kamloops mid November to be near her daughter. You’ll be sorely missed Trudy!

Trudy has a solid good quality Dining Room and chairs (6) set for sale.

Asking $300. Pictures are available. Ask David or Karen if interested.

Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes: Fill a shoebox with gifts for a child in a 3rd world nation and share the gospel! Your shoebox gift is an expression of God’s love and an opportunity to share the Gospel. Ask God to lead you in filling your box(es). He will always put the right shoebox in the right hands.

Fill your gift to the brim with fun toys, school supplies and personal care items. Please affix a label on each box indicating what age group and if you're packing for a boy or a girl. Be sure to PRAY over your box!

For each shoebox, a $12 donation is critical. Place a cheque in the top of your box (cash is discouraged), or make that donation online.

If you give online, you will receive a QR-code label for your shoebox. After it has shipped, you will receive an email with its destination country!

PLEASE DO NOT INCLUDE: toothpaste, soap, vitamins, glass/breakable items, anything war related, any liquids. Complete list posted at church.

* You can pack a box online - so easy! Use this link to start packing today! Online Shoebox . You choose the age and gender and what goes inside!

*Or, let Samaritan's Purse choose what is needed - use this link: Fill a Box

TO FILL A SHOEBOX YOURSELF:

Pick up a box (or 2, or more!) at church, and a "how to pack a shoebox" brochure/box label pamphlet. The pamphlet has all the details you may need. Any questions, please speak to Karen.

Boxes can be returned to the church any day prior to November 23rd.

So mark your calendars/keep yourselves free for that event. There will be lots of ways you can help out/participate. More info to follow.
